Kogi 2019: Governor Bello ‘Buries’ Opponents In Okene

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State who is also the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state defeated all his rivals in his Okene local council area.

Bello garnered  112,764 votes to humble his closest rivals, Musa Wada of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Natasha Akpoti of Social Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 139 and 50 votes respectively.

Olanrewaju Samuel, the collation officer of the local council signed the results.

TheEcho reports that the election was marred with widespread violence and Ms. Akpoti had alleged that there was no election in Kogi Central District.
