Lampard Opens Up On Pulisic’s Future At Chelsea

Chelsea head coach, Frank Lampard, has opened up on the chances of Christian Pulisic at Stamford Bridge.

The gaffer assured that the American would not be loaned out in January as rumoured in many quarters.

Lampard said he was focused on “the big picture”.

TheEcho recalls that the youngster joined the Blues from Borrusia Dortmund on a £58million move but has only played full-time on just two occasions-against Sheffield United and Grimsby.

His chances appeared to be slimmer when Callum Hudson-Odoi returned from injury.

While fielding questions on the likelihood of loaning out Christian Pulisic during Friday pre-match press conference, Lampard simply said ‘no’ while queried on the probability of loaning out the youngster.

“With Christian, he’s come to us in a big move, let’s make no mistake about it, and then he’s just turned 21 recently, and we’ve got a competitive squad here,” he added.

“I said it before the last game, I always have a problem with who to pick. People make my decisions in training or how they’re playing, and at the minute with winning four on the bounce I need the edge of staying in the team and keep performing and everyone is the same.”
