Premier League Champions, Manchester City have emerged the first team in history to spend €1billion on their squad.
The current squad of the club is the most expensive in Europe.
This was confirmed through data released by Swiss-based CIES Football Observatory.
The Cityzens are keenly followed by Paris Saint-Germain with €913million and Spain’s Real Madrid emerged third with €902m
