3 Reasons APC Will Go Into Extinction in 2023- Shehu Sani Reveals

Former lawmaker of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Shehu Sani, Wednesday gave three reasons why the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot survive 2023.

The activist made these revelations while receiving the executive members of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, on a courtesy call to his residence in Kaduna, Daily Post reports.

Sani said the APC is built around President Muhammadu Buhari and as such, will end with the President at the end of his tenure.

He furthered that the ruling party was birthed out of resentment against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has failed to deliver on its promises.

TheEcho recalls that Sani won his election to the 8th senate on the platform of the APC but defected to the PRP on the buildup to 2019 elections when he was denied the party’s senatorial ticket.

The former lawmaker urged the leadership of the PRP to reform and reposition the party before 2023 elections in order to let in “men of honour and integrity to take over relevant positions and win elections in 2023 in order to free Nigerians from deception, fraud, and misrepresentation of which the ruling APC is notorious.”

He explained further that “APC begins with President Buhari and it will end with Buhari.

“APC is not a party that is founded on ideology; it is a party that is found on resentment against PDP and it is also a party that is founded under the banner of President Buhari. It is unfortunate for all the promises and pledges of cleaning, reforming and reconfiguring this country; the ruling APC had failed.”
