See Chelsea’s plan concerning Kurt Zouma next season

The London club, who just secured their place in Champions League football next season, are planning to bring Kurt Zouma back to Stamford Bridge for pre-season.

Everton are keen to bring the on-loan centre back to Goodison Park on a permanent basis in the summer but they face a difficult task in agreeing terms with the west London side.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Zouma — who has spent the season at Everton — is in Chelsea’s plans for their summer preparations.

The Blues are travelling to Japan for pre-season matches against Barcelona and Kawasaki Frontale in July.

Any Everton hope of bringing Zouma in during the summer window may depend on Chelsea’s impending transfer ban.

They are currently not allowed to make any signings for the next two transfer windows but a FIFA hearing into the ban may change that.

Their Appeals Committee met in Zurich last month to discuss the ban and a decision is likely to be made public soon.

If Chelsea were to have their ban suspended, it would boost Everton’s hopes of signing Zouma.

The 24-year-old has been coy over his future and following Everton’s win against Burnley on Friday night said: ‘We’ve still got a game to go and then we’ll see what’s going to happen next.’

Manager Marco Silva has also made it clear that he is keen to bring Zouma in.
