Chelsea head coach, Maurizio Sarri has revealed the reason he cannot quit the club’s job at the moment.
The Italian also waved off the reports that he had been contacted by Roma to secure a deal with them after showing football legend, Thierry Henry the way out.
When questioned over the possible return to Serie A by BT Sport after the Blues defeated Malmoe FC in the second leg of the Round of 32 of Europa League on Thursday, Sarri answered that: “No, I have a contract with Chelsea for the next two seasons so it is impossible to have another contract.
“I read in an Italian newspaper something about a meeting with Franco Baldini but I think for the moment Franco is in South Africa so it is very difficult.”
However, Sarri is under intense pressure at Stamford Bridge to deliver results and might be shown the way out if his team continues delivering abysmal results as witnessed in recent times.
TheEcho recalls that Chelsea fans called for Sarri’s sack after their 2-0 defeat to rival Manchester United in their FA Cup encounter over the weekend.
