In what seems to be a die-hard culture of this dispensation, names of 10 dead and retired judges made it to the list of the just-sworn-in 250 election tribunal members for 2019 elections.
The swearing-in was conducted by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed, a day after his appointment at the Supreme Court Complex, Abuja.
This latest national error was made known by some members of the bench in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.
Daily Independent reports that the concerned lawyers that pleaded anonymity admitted that the Muhammadu Buhari-led government is used to such display of “cluelessness and carelessness in handling sensitive issues concerning Nigeria.”
According to them, “a posthumous appointment of anyone for such sensitive role in the country” is tantamount to “burying Nigeria alive.”
