The number of years we need to be like Liverpool- Sarri reveals

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has revealed the duration of time his side will need to be able to match up with the level of Premier League rivals, Liverpool.

Speaking after their 0-0 draw with West Ham on Sunday, the Italian noted that the Blues will need a minimum of one year to be like Liverpool.

The West London side will take on Liverpool on Wednesday evening in their first Carabao Cup of the season.

He projected that the encounter will be “spectacular” and there is a possibility he changes the whole squad to face the Reds.

“We have to face a team very very good, a team that has worked with the same coach four or five years, I don’t know exactly,” said Sarri.

“They are a step forward than us at the moment. We have started to work altogether 40 days ago and less time with the international teams.

“For us it is a bit early. We have to work and improve and then maybe in a year it will be the same level as Liverpool.

“They have had one more day of rest. I want to see the picture of the situation tomorrow morning in the training session. I don’t know, maybe I will change 11, maybe five.”
