A former Minister of Aviation and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode has announced that Thursday’s rerun election in Osun State will mark the final burial of the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola political wise.
Reacting through his Twitter page, he said, “The result of the Osun State election is the beginning of the political funeral rites of: Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Rauf Aregbesola and the APC.
“The final burial will be on Thursday 27th September 2018 when the @OfficialPDPNig’s Demola Adeleke reclaims his stolen mandate.”
In a bid to ensure victory for the PDP, the former Minister had earlier promised to reach out to his cousin, Senator Iyiola Omisore to support Ademola Adeleke in September 27th rerun poll.
TheEcho recalls that the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Sunday declared the election as being “inconclusive” after it was discovered that the total number of cancelled votes surpassed the margin with which the PDP led the APC.
