Why Diogo Dalot will be dropped against Wolves- Mourinho

Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Diogo Dalot will not be part of the starting XI as the Red Devils face Wolves on Saturday in the Premier League.

Dalot has been praised by Rio Ferdinard and Paul Scholes after making an impressive professional debut during the club’s UEFA Champions League clash with Young Boys during the week.

It was learnt that Mourinho plans to use the young star during Manchester United clash with Derby Country on Tuesday in their opening match in Carabao Cup and the Portugese wants him to be ‘totally fresh’ for the encounter.

“I want him in this process of adaption to play totally fresh, so he’s not playing tomorrow, he plays Tuesday again,” Metro UK reported Mourinho as saying.

“I want him to play totally fresh. To play for Manchester United is difficult enough for a kid of 19-years-old coming from another country.

“And after an important injury and surgery I think it’s difficult enough, he doesn’t need to face more difficult from the accumulation of matches.

“Difficult pitch, recovered totally and Tuesday play again but he showed for the ones that don’t know him very well he is not a player to be here just on formation.

“He is a player to be here for positions, he’s a very good player,” he said.
