Chelsea head coach, Maurizio Sarri, Thursday revealed what his point man, Alvaro Morata must do in order to gain confidence before goal.
TheEcho reports that the Spaniard has lost his place in the starting XI to Olivier Giroud due to his inability to find the back of the net as expected.
Reacting, Sarri noted that Morata needs to score three goals in order to bolster his confidence.
“Alvaro has to gain confidence with one, two, three goals,” Sarri was quoted by First Post as saying after Chelsea defeated PAOK 1-0 in the Europa League.
“I am not able to give him confidence. In this match, he had three or four opportunities.
“He was unlucky. I hope for him in the future I can help him. But the confidence can come with goals. For the first time in this season, he was ready in the box. He was on the ball and was active.”
The Blues will face West Ham on Sunday for their sixth match in the Premier League where they currently sit on top of the log.
