Senate President Bukola Saraki, Friday revealed that he decided to vie for the highest office in the land due to the failure of the incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari.
While addressing the Bauchi State delegates for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP forthcoming presidential primaries, he noted that he was forced to be part of the race in order to salvage the country from the myriads of problems bedeviling it caused by the incompetence of the present dispensation.
“I would have not contested but because of the well inform idea to salvage the country from the APC brouhaha, I have today declare for presidential seat and I am here in Bauchi to seek your support during the forthcoming presidential primary,” Daily Post quoted the presidential hopeful.
Lamenting that All Progressives Congress (APC) failed in fulfilling its electoral promises, he assured that the country will witness speedy development under his leadership.
He specifically noted that economy rejuvenation, women empowerment and job creation for the youth will be his priority if given the mandate.
“I assure Nigerians that the current unfortunate failure of the APC will be a thing of the past if elected as the next president,” claimed Saraki.
