Manchester United goalkeeper and current Golden Glove Holder of the English Premier League, David de Gea has given the club authorities the conditions that will make him extend his contract.
The Spaniard said he wants to be part of the highest earners in the club.
The Evening Standard reports that the world-class shot-stopper is currently receiving under £200,000-a-week and he desires to earn the same amount as fellow teammates, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez, who both make over £300,000-a-week.
The Old Trafford club have the option of extending De Gea’s contract by a year in the summer but they are keen on keeping him on a long-term basis.
For four out of the last five seasons, De Gea has emerged the best player of the Red Devils.
