The formal presidential declaration of Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Kano State Governor and Senator representing Kano Central witnessed a large turnout of supporters despite a late change of venue.

Kwankwaso formally declared his 2019 presidential ambition on Wednesday in front of Chida Hotel in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He was billed to use Eagle Square for the declaration but was denied the venue in less than 24 hours to the programme after he was initially granted approval more than a week ago.

Declaring his ambition, the former Kano Governor said, “Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, let me thank you for coming far and wide to hear my decision to run for the president of Nigeria.
