What Ayefele, Ajimobi discussed over demolition of Music House [PHOTOS]

The details of the meeting held between Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi and popular musician, Yinka Ayefele on Thursday have emerged.

During the reconciliatory meeting held in the office of the governor, Ajimobi set up a committee to find a solution to the issues bothering on the demolition of Ayefele’s Music House.

Ajimobi reiterated that the demolition was not a witch-hunt or politically motivated as being speculated in some quarters, NAN reports.

The governor also showered encomiums on Ayefele, describing him as a good man and responsible citizen.

He noted that the next step was to find a compassionate means of resolving the issue. He further urged the Fresh Fm crew to be ethical while reporting the issue.

According to the report, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who was at the Governor’s Office alongside some monarchs, also pleaded with the governor to resolve the impasse.

Ayefele on his own part noted that his office responded to all letters forwarded to it by the state government and regretted not meeting with the Governor before the demolition.

He further reiterated his commitment to abide by the laws of the government, describing himself as a law-abiding citizen.

NAN reports that the committee, comprising government official and some workers of Fresh FM station, including Ayefele, had since commenced the resolution process.
