Don’t blame herdsmen for killings- Oshiomhole tells Nigerians

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole Saturday said Fulani herdsmen were not responsible for the heartless killings going on in some parts of the country, Daily Post reports.

He said the opposition was only trying to “turn the truth upside down” in a bid to portray the administration of Muhammadu Buhari in a bad light.

While addressing a crowd of party faithful in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, the former labour leader urged Nigerians not to be deceived by the antics of selfish politicians who were trying to paint the killings as an ethnic issue.

“Let me urge you to be more careful because this season, people are spreading untruth. People are being hired to turn the gospel upside down. They want us to believe that every problem should be explained in ethnic and religious terms.

“We have a problem and we must confront those problems. Criminals must be dealt with individually as criminals and government at all levels must work hard to protect every Nigerian regardless of tribe or religion,” the newspaper quoted him.
