The management of Manchester United have given Jose Mourinho the assurance that the club will sign more players before the close of transfer window.
The outspoken manager has only been able to sign three players (Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant) since the beginning of the transfer window.
Mourinho has always complained of the way the club authorities handle the issue of signing new players, noting that many starting players in his squad were missing in the pre-season tour.

It was gathered that the issue has even led to friction between the Portuguese and the Manchester United chief, Ed Woodward.
However, the Guardian UK reports that the manager has the full backing of the club’s board on the issue and have assured him of a positive outcome.
The former Chelsea boss wants to sign a forward and a centre-back and have reportedly identified Croatia’s Ivan Perisic and England’s Harry Maguire.
The club were optimistic of signing at least another player before the close of transfer window next week.
