What Chelsea must do for me to stay-Courtois reveals

Chelsea goalkeeper and Belgium international, Thibaut Courtois says the Blues must increase his wages if they want him to remain at the Stamford Bridge next season.

Belgium won the bronze medal at the just concluded World Cup tournament at Russia where he displayed a somewhat impressive performance.

Courtois and his fellow Belgian, Eden Hazard have been major targets by Real Madrid.

The Telegraph reports that the West London Club have reportedly offered the shot stopper a weekly wage of £200,000 but he believes that with his performance at the world cup, he is worth more than that.

TheEcho recalls that the Belgian has a year left on his contract with Chelsea.

“I will go back and I will see what they want and how they say it,” he said, according to the Telegraph.

“Obviously, with this World Cup, I think what was on the table is different than what I can have.

“In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours. But now, in the next few days, I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave,” he said.
