How Messi chased Ronaldo out of Madrid- Giggs
Former Manchester United player, Ryan Giggs has accused Lionel Messi of causing Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from Real Madrid.
It would be recalled that Ronaldo had on Tuesday signed a four-year deal with Juventus.
Giggs, who was a former teammate of the football superstar at Manchester United, said Ronaldo’s obsession to prove that he was better than Barcelona’s Messi made him join Juventus.
With the deal, Ronaldo will be at Turin for the next four years.
“I’m surprised that he would leave Real Madrid and go to Italy.
“I think it’s a big challenge for him but he’s going to a huge club. Having that on your CV… Real Madrid, Man United and Juventus. It’s some CV.
“He’s obsessed with being better than Messi. He has that now that: ‘I did it in England,
I did it in Spain, I’m going to do it in Italy… and I did it with Portugal,’ Giggs told ITV Sports.

He concluded, “So maybe that will be his argument when people ask: ‘Is Ronaldo better than Messi?’”
