The security details of Ekiti State Governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose have allegedly been withdrawn.
His spokesman, Lere Olayinka, made this known via his Twitter handle.
“Gov Fayose’s Security aides have just been withdrawn,” Olayinka tweeted.
Earlier, the Deputy Inspector General of Police deployed to Ekiti State for the purpose of July 14 governorship election, Habilal Joshak said the security details of all important dignitaries in the state would be withdrawn to add credibility to the forthcoming election.

In addition, Joshak said no political gathering would be allowed to hold without the approval of the Force.
While addressing newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, Joshak said the Force had contacted the security details of the Fayose and that of the flag bearer of All Progressives Congress (APC), Kayode Fayemi to report at the Force headquarters in Ado-Ekiti by 6am on Thursday.
