The governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Peter Fayose has assured that his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the forthcoming gubernatorial polls in the state slated for Saturday, July 14.
According to Daily Post, Fayose made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike.
The alleged that the opposition through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were planning to frustrate the efforts of his party loyalists during the exercise.
Fayose said the commission was trying to disenfranchise members of the PDP on the D-day.
According to the newspaper, Fayose, however, gave a stern warning that anybody who plans to rig the election should accept whatever befalls them.
“Their only strategy is how to rig, how to use police and how to use army but very soon they will wait in vain. On Saturday, we will bury them.
“Somebody just told me as I was coming here that they are trying to deactivate voter cards of PDP members from the system. May God help them. We are waiting for them.
“It is insane for anybody to want to rig election where you are not popular. If you try it, you should be ready to accept anything that happens to you,” he said.
