The senator representing Kogi-West senatorial district, Dino Melaye has apparently taken his leave from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday, the senator noted that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was his home and that he has been subjected to undue suffering the APC.
“PDP! Oh my home, oh my home, oh my home, when shall I see my home? When shall I see my PDP, I will never forget my home.
“Oh my home, oh my home, oh my home, when shall I see home? APC suffer me o. When shall I see my PDP, I will never forget my home,” he sang.
TheEcho recalls that Melaye was elected on the platform of the PDP as a member of House of Representatives in 2007 before he defected to the then newly-formed All Progressives Congress on the run up to 2015 elections.
However, his relationship with the leadership of the APC went sour when he had a running battle with the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello.

The crisis got to its peak in May when the lawmaker was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force over accusations or arms proliferation and thuggery, among others.
After he returned the Red Chamber, the controversial lawmaker decided to sit among the PDP lawmakers, noting that he was no longer comfortable with his seat.
