The senator representing Borno South constituency in the upper legislative chamber, Ali Ndume alleged that many senators easily make compromise for the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki because they don’t want to lose out on many privileges.
While featuring at a forum of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, Ndume said all the “advantages and privileges” were tied to the office of the Senate President.
According to a report by Daily Post, the lawmaker further accusing Saraki of personalizing the Red Chamber.
According to Ndume, “Senators are afraid of expressing their opinion on what they believe in for fear of persecution, discrimination or sabotage.

“For instance, everything is in the hands of the Senate leadership or the President of the Senate.
“This is to the extent that if you go against the standpoint of the Senate President there is the possibility of missing certain advantages and privileges that senators see as important; so, they compromise,” the newspaper quoted him.
