Spain and Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea has sent an apology to fans due to Spain’s abysmal outing at the World Cup in Russia.
Recall that Spain suffered a shocking defeat in the hands of tournament hosts, Russia in the last 16 which sent them packing out of the world football competition.
The Spanish put up an unimpressive performance all through their matches in Russia and the holder of golden gloves in England, De Gea was far from his best.
However, the shot stopper has taken to his Instagram page to react to their poor outing in Russia.
He said, “To whom supported, suffered and criticised us with respect, thanks.

His teammate, Hender Herrera who never made it to Spain’s squad reacted to the post thus, “Come quickly to Manchester United. We have big things to achieve ahead.”
