The decision, according to Daily Post, was part of the resolutions reached in the stakeholders meeting of the faction held on Monday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
According to the report, the meeting was well attended by prominent members of the faction such as Senator Monsurat Sumonu; Senator Soji Akanbi; Hon Sunday Adepoju; Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Musa Abdulwasiu; Chief Abu Gbadamosi, Dr Busari Adebisi and other prominent elders of the forum.
Secretary to the Forum, Wasiu Olatunbosun, confirmed to newsmen that about seven other political parties had made advances to them.
Olatunbosun listed the parties to include, ADC, Accord party, SDP, NAC, PDP, and Labour party.
He said, “Yes, we had a meeting yesterday, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu was there, Senator Soji Akanbi was there, Hon. Sunday Adepoju was there, all our federal honourable members were there, the members of the state House of Assembly from our camp were also there.
“We waited for the genuine reconciliation but, since they have inaugurated the state exco, and local government executives, we decided to set up a committee to look at the party to join,” the newspaper quoted him.
