Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal has made admonition to all Nigerians, especially the Christian faithful to keep praying for the total healing of the nation’s President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The governor made the call when he received the Forum of Directors of Social Communication of the Catholic Church in the Government House today, Vanguard reports.
The governor noted that the nation is appreciative of the fervent prayers rendered for the president while he was away.
Tambuwal urged the directors led by Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Bishop in charge of Sokoto Diocese of the Catholic Church to use their wealth of wisdom to promote religious harmony and peaceful co-existence in the country.
While wishing the delegates a fruitful deliberation, Tambuwal encouraged them to explore the many historical and tourism sites available in the state.
In their separate remarks, both Kukah and President of the Diocesan/Religious Directors of Communications, Father Pius Ukoh said they were in Sokoto for their bi-annual retreat, and commended the Sokoto government and the Sultanate Council for their commitment to peaceful coexistence in the state.
