Young Writers’ Summit to Hold in UI

BIBLOPHILLIA Nigeria, an Ibadan-based educational opportunity and literacy development organisation, has concluded plans to host its maiden edition of Young Writers’ Summit and Literary Festival.

The programme which is in collaboration with the Oyo State government, Association of Nigerian Authors, University of Ibadan, and Medianett Limited is billed to hold on April 21, at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Vanguard reports.

According to the CEO, BIBLOPHILLIA Nigeria, Kayode Adejumo-Bello, the Objective of the programme is to deliver a global literary standard to young writers.

The festival, which is open to all teenagers for free, especially high school students in Ibadan is expected to host 2,500 participants. The summit will involve workshops in all the literary genres and participants would be tested immediately after the workshop with the best participant in each category receiving a prize of N100,000.00 and the best overall carts away with N250,000.00 and publication of their works.
